The Stray Cat I Feed

About this book

Written by seventeen-year-old Mandy Oren, this collection contains twenty-four poems. Stray cats she has fed, waterfront cities she has called home, journeys, tiger tattoos, garden herbs, watermelons, the desert and the moon all become material for her writing.

Her poems invite readers to look again at familiar objects and everyday encounters. Through a young poet’s distinctive observations, the ordinary opens onto questions of love, growth and freedom.
